Coactiva Risk Based Verification

Verification of UK benefit claims has been an expensive administrative burden for UK councils, with a typical claim requiring pages and pages of original paper evidence to be assembled and checked by Benefit Assessors.

 

With the Victoria Forms eClaims system and our new Coactiva Add-on module, on the point of submission, appropriate form data is assembled and sent securely over the internet to the Coactiva servers. The Coactiva system analyses the data and generates a risk score. This is then returned to the Victoria Forms system. With the eForm still on screen, the system then generates a bespoke evidence list, the contents of which is tailored to the risk of fraud and error.

 

Just over 50% of claims are identified as low risk and can be fast-tracked without the need to gather original documents as proof. The result is a 50% reduction in the labour intensive costs of traditional verification.

 

Update 09-11-11: The Risk Based Approach to Verificaton has now been approved by the UK Department for Work and Pensions in bulletin HB/CTB S11/2011.
